Calverton Youth Theatre Scripts

At Calverton Youth Theatre, we like to give each cast member an equal role in every production.  With an average cast of 30 actors aged 6-16, finding a good script can be a problem.

To help this situation, we have a number of in-house scripts which have been written especially fo Calverton Youth Theatre to perform.  These scripts are available for other groups to perform. (WE HAVE A TEMPORARY PROBLEM WITH SUPPLYING SCRIPTS AND ARE LOOKING INTO AN ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION)

All of our scripts are written to be very flexible for a group to perform.  They can accomodate a large cast, require few costumes and minimal set changes.

Scripts available

ShowBusiness written by Di Smith A musical comedy for a cast of around 30. On the night of the final dress rehearsal for the biggest theatre event of the year, the cast feel that an old theatre proverb seems appropriate.  Every actor knows that a bad dress rehearsal means there will be a good first night, and the cast all know that this show will have an amazing first night!  1 set and few costumes. Robin Hood written by Chris Throup A pantomime for a cast of 20-50. Family panto following Robin's adventures as he outwits the Sheriff of Nottingham and PJ (Prince John).  2 sets and few costumes. Details of Robin Hood script.
