Calverton Youth Theatre was formed in May 1998. This was the result of increased interest in Calverton Theatre Group from the younger members after the group's production of The Dracula Spectacula
In 1999 we were involved in 3 productions. Some of our members were in Calverton Theatre Group's pantomime, There Came A Big Spider, in the spring. This was followed in in July by ShowBusiness, a musical written by our own Di Smith. To end the year, we rehearsed the pantomime Robin Hood, written by our own Chris Throup, from September and performed the show in early January 2000.
Calverton Youth Theatre is open to all 6-16 year olds in Nottinghamshire. We meet every Wednesday in Calverton Village Hall 6:30pm-8:30pm. Interested in joining?
