I have had another re-vamp. Hope you like the new look and there is a bit more history. All of the other pages have been re-written to the new style. If your site doesn't appear on my links page then mail me and I will add it as soon as I can. Have a good look round, and PLEASE sign the guestbook.

Problems - It has been nearly 6 months since I have managed to update the site, caused mainly by problems from my ISP and a severe lack of free time. I had also intended on working on a new look which should load quicker (for those of us still on dial-up). The new look will come eventually but will take a bit longer.

New Training College - Several of the crew have been to the new training college in Poole. Scott Vardy attended the opening, which was carried out by Her Majesty the Queen. Martin Myhill was the first crew member from Flamborough to attend a training course.

An Appeal: Have you ever been rescued by Flamborough Lifeboat or watched the boat (past or present) in action? I would love to read your accounts with a view to publishing them on this site, anomously if you require. Also if you have pictures of past or present boats you would like to share (providing you own copyright) I would like to see them, again with a view to publishing them on this site. Just e-mail me at simon.robson@telinco.co.uk. Thanks.

Inflatables! (I'm leaving this message here until people learn) If you are going to use an inflatable please bear in mind the following:

  • Make yourself aware of the what the wind and tide are doing.
  • Ensure your inflatable is tethered securely to the beach at all times.
  • Get someone to keep an eye on you at all times.
  • If something does go wrong - stay with the inflatable and NEVER try to swim back to shore.
