FURTHER INFORMATION Belarussian National Folk Dance Academy Russian Spectacular Photo Library	The White Russian Central Band from Belarus Since its formation, the Band has developed into one of the leading military ensembles in the former Soviet Union and professional musicians flocked to join this prestigious unit which won many competitions for military bands in the USSR. The Band has an extensive repertoire including the works of Belarussian composers. The Band also performs a wide range of classical pieces from composers such as Bach, Vivaldi, Tchaikowsky and Shostakovich, to name but a few, and a varied selection of big band and jazz pieces. The Band also regularly performs with many guest soloists from leading orchestral groups and other world famous musical organisations, such as The Bolshoi. In recent years the Band has performed at many Music Festivals in Germany, France, Spain, Italy and all over the former Soviet Union.
